- Appearance -In-Game & Real-LifeMuch like it means to others gaming usually acts as a means of escapism, a chance to be a character that you could not. It’s for these reasons that there is a plentiful amount of differences between “Ryleigh” and her avatar “Growl”, with the only two similarities the two share would be their brunette hair and their fair skin.
With a single glance, one would immediately notice her long floppy ears that are identical to that of a rabbit, the same applying to her fluffy spherical tail. These two features are a clear sign to anyone that she’s a member of the Faunri race. Her dark brown hair descends far down to her knee, tending to be tied into a ponytail to not let her long strands hinder her sight, while the bangs are cut short. An set of aquatic eyes, slightly smaller than her pair in real life peek out with vibrancy, while just above are a thin set of brows matching the tone of her hair. Her slim figure is far shorter than how she compares in real life, coming to about four foot eleven while outside of the game she stands at five foot six.
Ryleigh’s sense of fashion differs when in the game compared to real life, while she does like cutesy attire she didn’t feel like it would work with how she looked in real life perhaps due to a lack of self-confidence, but as Growl she isn’t afraid of wearing clothing that she wouldn’t ever try in real life and would much prefer clothing that are both comfortable and cute.
- Personality -Growl can be characterized as a woman whom seeks a sense of worth from achieving something, while in the real world that was from mini-maxing in games and here that’s from seeking the unknown and collecting treasures of significant value. She’s a gamer with a competitive nature, as she was always one of the ones that strived to be the best but actually having the determination to sacrifice time in her life whether it is personal or not to do it. Her stubbornness is what often leads to her unhealthy addictions whether it comes to gaming or chowing down immense amounts of ice-cream.
Ryleigh has always been a woman whole feels uncomfortable in her own skin, so the change to her appearance has been something that she’s been in favour of, apart from her now crippling shortness. It’s why she can act a bit more like herself around others than she could previously do in real life, if one knew her from outside they would think she isn’t even the same person. But still just having a make-over doesn’t complete change one heart and there still is parts of herself that she doesn’t like, still needing to work on her overall confidence and break through her current shell.
Her tendency to be observant and put the work in to get what she wants is more often than not her best trait, while her intelligence is far close to that. She’s not an award winning genius to be clear, but she has passed most of her exams at school and has enough knowledge to be skilled with working the complicated coding such as web design. These traits of hers would be perfect for a leader, but sadly her lack of confidence and experience when personally dealing with others does leave her somewhat socially awkward when it comes to interaction.
Funny enough she doesn’t share that problem when it comes to non-human life such as animals, perhaps due to her fondness with her pet as a child with the only reason why she hasn’t got a new pet so far is that she feels as it may betray the bond she had with Lucky. But with her picking the Monster Tamer talent perhaps she does long for that attachment.
- Biography -Ryleigh was born to a family that settled in the countryside areas of Norway, a country dominated by the cold weathers. She was the second child and the last one, while her eldest sibling happened to be an older brother whom had already been starting his senior years at school by the time she had managed to walk on her own two feet. As a kid she was typically the time to crave attention and the subject of that being her brother whom doted on her from time to time. With their relationship becoming close she started to develop the same interests that he had and one of those interests happened to be gaming.
Although their parents thought that they were getting along just fine, being out in the boonies meant that there weren’t much kids Ryleighs own age so in order to find her a buddy they decided to their child to the pet store in the city and pick out a friend that the girl would enjoy. Her intrigue was directed towards a rabbit, with a fur the same colour as her own hair. It was named Lucky and would end up becoming inseparable from Ryleigh as when she wasn’t with her brother she would spend her time just idling by and one-sidedly chatting with the rabbit.
Scouring through the web slowly got her started in MMOs, later leading to the earliest editions of Gaia Reborn. As if earning her brother’s thirst for power she ended up being someone obsessed with becoming the best in the game and devoted most of her time trying to achieve that. When it came to school games were the only things that she could talk about, with kids interest mainly being centered around the trendiest things and music groups this meant that she was out of touch from the fads. Sadly in a life of school this would only mean that she was the kid that was picked on.
This slowly spiralled into her becoming a recluse, rather spending her time playing games then spending time making friends and socializing with others. The final nail on the coffin was the death of her rabbit lucky from old age around the time where she had graduated from school, feeling as if she lost a key part of herself. So when she was officially an adult she chose to rent out a home in an isolated area and take up jobs designing websites for companies using her smarts. This was for the sake of reducing the amount of time she could spend engaging with others while also acquiring a decent source of income for her. When she wasn’t working at home she was playing Gaia Reborn and that’s how it stayed. Least until the latest expansion was released.
What caused her to make a character inspired by her deceased rabbit was the fact that the expansion was released on the same day as her rabbit’s death which brought lucky to her mind, while the name growl was due to the rabbits grumpy behaviour and how it almost always made a growl noise. Once her character was all finalized, all it took was a click of a mouse before everything soon faded into black.
- Extra -• Growl speaks with a Norwegian accent, while trying to be a bit extra sometimes and saying things like woof and bark possibly to fit some kind of character.
• As someone who used to wear glasses, she sometimes has the knack of moving her hands to adjust them even though nothing is there. She’s debating whether or not get a cosmetic pair in the future just so things would feel right.

- Skills -- Class -- Beginner -Ambidexterity Prime:While dual-wielding a one-handed weapon in the offhand, the user no longer incurs a 50% accuracy penalty to their one-handed weapons. While many Duelists are known to dual-wield due to getting Ambidextry Prime, some opt for sword-and-shield or sword-and-magic.
Passive skill.Poker Gauge:A Duelist can passively see enemies as only they can, and perceive a thin yellow bar under an enemy’s hp; their Chip Stack. A Chip Stack is equal to 1/5th the amount of the creature’s maximum health. All damage the Duelist deals to an enemy’s health bar is also dealt to their Chip Stack. Chip Stack does not benefit from the enemy’s Defense stats. When it is reduced to zero, the enemy
Folds for 10s, granting the Duelist a strong increase critical hit chance on them. After that duration, their Chip Stack is restored to full and increases by 1/5th of the target’s maximum health.
Passive skill.- Rank I -Splashing Blow:Fiercely strike downwards on the ground or an enemy. Upon impact, this will deal above-average damage to the target enemy, and a powerful ripple will travel up to 3m in all directions, spreading the damage to nearby enemies. This damage gradually drops off the further enemies are, up to only 1/5th of its original power at the furthest 3m.
2.5s animation time, 20s cooldown. High mana cost.Helm Splitter:A somewhat iconic skill, the user leaps in the air and strikes downwards with their weapon at the head of an enemy. This fierce blow deals average damage, but generates above-average Aggro on the enemy struck. Proper use of this skill allows even non-Tank classes to somewhat hold Aggro in a party.
2s animation time, 10s cooldown. Average mana cost.Fold Step:Using this skill, the user's body is suddenly propelled and accelerates 2 meters in a desired direction. It is often used as a surprise burst of momentum when delivering an attack or used as a last-ditch dodging maneuver. The only downside to this technique is that once activated, the Duelist cannot stop or adjust their trajectory. It should be noted that if this skill is used for an attack, the momentum from initiating the attack will not increase damage in any way.
1s animation time, 6s cooldown. Minor mana cost.- Rank II -Skill Name:Skill Description. Replace this text with the name and description of any skill you can afford to learn, either by spending SP on that skill or by inheriting it from your race or talent.
Activation time, cooldown. Mana.- Rank III -Skill Name:Skill Description. Replace this text with the name and description of any skill you can afford to learn, either by spending SP on that skill or by inheriting it from your race or talent.
Activation time, cooldown. Mana.- Racial & Talents -Animal Instincts:While their appearance is primarily humanoid, the Faunri benefit from improved perception, their eyesight and hearing amplified by their animal eyes and ears.
The senses of a Faunri are more powerful than those of the other races, granting them improved eyesight, hearing, and sense of smell. Faunri do not receive any further bonuses from the animal they are; such as gills, wings, cold resistance, and so on.Disassembly:Mechanics have a certain skill with taking apart machines, so monsters that are mechanical in nature had better watch out. Mechanics deal a low amount of extra damage to Machine and Golem-type monsters.
Passive skill.Basic Taming:The Monster Trainer attempts to recruit a Common Monster to their cause in order to create a temporary partner. This will not work on Golems, Machines, or Artificial Life Monster Types. This is often done by approaching the Monster without startling or aggravating it. If performed successfully, a tamed Monster will fight by the Trainer's side for 5 minutes before control is lost and the Monster returns to the environment. Certain situations might make this duration last longer or shorter; acts of kindness toward the tamed Monster will make it stick around for up to 10 minutes, while excessive demand will make the Trainer quickly lose favor with the Monster. Only one Monster can be tamed with Basic Taming at a time.
